Ford division's largest passenger car, the "Crown Vic," seats six adults comfortably. One of the last domestic full-size rear-wheel-drive passenger cars left—since Chrysler and GM stopped producing their versions—the model line is the second-best seller in the full-size segment. Built on a platform initially introduced in 1979, the Crown Victoria is one of the company's most established and refined lines. Further refinement occurred for the 1998 model year, with a freshened appearance and upgraded chassis for an improved ride. In 2001, adjustable pedals were made available on the Crown Victoria.
