- I purchased a 2007 Fusion , and this was 1st new car I have ever owned. A few months after my purchase I was in an accident, and I believe that my 2007 Fusion kept me from being injured,or even killed I had only a bruise from the seat belt . This car did exactly what it was supposed to do. The front of the car took all of the damage and crumbled exactly the way it was meant to do. I believe this car is one of the best vehicles being driven today and do believe 100% that it did save me from injury or death from this horr. acci.
